The Newlywed Game, Week Two!

Today I'm linking up with Karla at Forever Newly Wedded and Veronica over at Passion, Pink, & Pearls for the Newlywed Game, week 2!  This linkup was super fun last week and I had so much fun reading everyones answers.  So excited to be participating again this week!

1. What was it about your spouse that made you think they were "the one"?

Her: The first night we were introduced to each other, we literally talked for 8 hours straight.  We starting talking as everyone else started to trail off to bed and we talked, and talked, and talked, we watched the sunrise and talked some more.  Then we realized it was 8 am and decided maybe we should sleep for a couple hours.  There aren't too many people you can talk with for that length of time!

Him: She was the first woman I could be myself around. She was smart, goofy, beautiful, and never got annoying. We were just instant matches.

2. What is your spouse's most annoying habit?

Her: Hmmm he tends to leave stuff laying around. School books, socks, sweat pants, mail.  He knows it bothers me and he's working on it and hey, I'm not perfect either!  Sometimes there just isn't a good space for something!

Him: There are not many, maybe never being able to finish a drink. It does not matter if she is thirsty or wants more, the bottom of the glass is apparently toxic and cannot be consumed. It does not really bother me, but it’s funny.

3.  Does your spouse have to sleep on "their side of the bed", if so, which side?
(if you're laying in bed looking up at the ceiling, which side?)

Her: Ha!  No, but I do.  We actually had an argument about this once because he suggested switching sides to see what it was like and I got angry at him.  I may have had some hormonal imbalances going on at that time! I sleep on the right.

Him: The right side, it’s just always been that way.

4.  How are you planning to spend Valentine's Day? (simple or outrageous)

Her: Together? No, but seriously is it sad that I haven't thought about this at all?
Jeremie's birthday is Sunday so I need to tackle that first!

Him: Simple I think. We are going to enjoy just spending time with each other.

5.  Who usually ends up trying to resolve an argument
(aka..being the "bigger person)?

Her: Jeremie. Hands down. I get sulky and don't want to talk. Jeremie always initiates a conversation to talk through it.  He's so great!

Him: Definitely me. I always know where to start, she does not like to talk.

6. How many kids do you plan to have one day, if any?

Her: I would love a huge family and I definitely would like to adopt one so I'm thinking three or four.  But I know it's a huge job that I can't even comprehend right now so I'm gonna see how the first two go and then revise my answer accordingly.

Him: 3, 2 boys and a girl.

7. What is your spouse's best friend's name & do you get along with them?

Her: Doug!! And yes, we get along.  Doug is awesome.

Him: Courtney, and I would hope so since we live together. It is not always easy but we have pretty much lived together for 5 years.

8.  If your spouse one day told you that they are an ex-convict, how would you react?

Her: Ummm wow, I don't know!  I'd be in shock and I may have a hard time trusting him.  I don't think anything other than that would change unless he was killed someone or something.

Him: I would be very surprised. She would feel bad if we disobeyed a sign saying not to step on the grass. I would ask her for the whole truth and make sure she was never caught. I couldn’t find a better woman. And I also probably don’t want to anger an ex-convict.

9. Do you wish your spouse would stop doing a particular routine?

Her: Jeremie is not a fan of routines so he generally doesn't have any.  He has habits more than routines and one thing I wish he'd stop doing is getting a rewards card for every single store he walks into!  You just don't need that many rewards!

Him: Stop setting her alarm 40 minutes before she is going to wake up. Especially because I want to wake up an hour and half after that. While we are at it, also stop turning the light on and leaving the door open. I’m trying to sleep. Figure something else out.

10.  Did the honeymoon go exactly as planned?

Her: We had stuff we knew we wanted to do on the honeymoon like hike and get real maple syrup from a farm but we didn't have a schedule.  The only that sucked was I still wasn't feeling great.  I guess all that stress and anxiety over wedding plans finally came crashing down on me!  Oh, and then our car battery died.  Other than that, it was perfect.

Him: No, but it was still wonderful. The biggest issue was missing the free breakfast at our inn and not taking full advantage of it. We bought maple syrup from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre family. And then the car died when we were on our way to a massage. And again when we were trying to go home. We should have just stayed in Vermont. (seriously, I can't believe he just brought this up!  I swear I'll be 97 and still hearing about that free breakfast we missed!)

  1. You guys are adorable together. So much love! -- I love it!
It's so funny that he mentions that you leave a little bit of your drink in your cup... I do the same thing and Scott always says. "It's like the last bit of your drink is toxic or something!" Hahaha.. too funny.

    Thanks for linking up!! =)
